A fleeting view

Not done much birding of late but standing on our terrace in Okcular nr Dalyan today a raptor flew low and fast across the open field and disappeared across the orange trees. A pale grey in colour as it disappeared into the distance a distinctive white patch showed on it’s rump. Searching through the bird guides and with some assistance from Birdforum.net I settled on an ID of a male Hen Harrier. This area is within the winter range of this species so it is most likely to have been one of these. Another first for me.
