Çovenli Yalası

Çovenli Yalası is a small plateau in the mountains behind Köycegiz and looks a great birding spot. On our trip there we picked up Alpine Swift, female Redstart, Finsch’s Wheatear, Krűppers Nuthatch, Raven and others. We will be putting on directions to the site for others to follow in the near future. Also a trip report from one of the birdforum members from his trip there in May.

List of birds seen in June in and around Dalyan:

Little Owl, House Martin, Blackbird, Olivaceous Warbler, Collard Dove, White Stork, House Sparrow, Jay, Cormorant, Yellow Legged Gull, Pied (White) Wagtail, Kestrel, Hooded Crow, Great Tit, Long Legged Buzzard, Purple heron, Fan Tailed Warbler, Honey Buzzard, Little Egret, Peregrine Falcon, Green Finch, masked Shrike, Reed Warbler, Great Reed Warbler, Grey heron, Little Bittern, Squacco Heron, Little Grebe, Great Egret, King Fisher, Alpine Swift, Female Redstart, Red Backed Shrike, Finsch’s Wheatear, Red Rumped Swallow, Krűppers Nuthatch Raven, Coal Tit, Swallow, Isabilline Wheatear and Spotted Flycatcher.
